The Summit Government Relations Committee functions under the authority of the Chiropractic Summit. The general duties of the Government Relations Committee is to:
Set priorities and develop strategy for implementation of legislation.
Offer advice to the Summit at large when new legislative issues arise.
Assist with the National Chiropractic Legislative Conference.
Prepare and conduct special seminars before interested state associations and other recognized chiropractic organizations requesting assistance on political education, political action, or other legislative issues.
Be available to assist, by request, state associations before state legislatures.
